Saturday (Friday) Facts

I know what the title says, but only for today this post is on Saturday. I plan to post a small fact every Friday. It could be anything, from when Leonardo da Vinci had an invention of a plane back in the 1500's, when the first computer was invented, or even how a hockey rink turns into a basketball court in a couple hours.

Then every Tuesday or Thursday I'll be posting a tidbit about me or what I like/don't like. I'm not sure what the main focus will be about, we'll see.

The main reason I am doing this is because I'm unsure what to post for the next while, I just want to post extra stuff for now. So here's the fact below.

Saturday Fact: Normally you see red strawberries, right? Well, did you know there are also yellow, green, and white? They each have a different taste and some have a similar taste to pineapples. That's crazy.

Yellow strawberries look weird IMO.

My Top 10 Male and Female Simpsons Characters: #3

Okay, we're down to the final 3! I truly like these characters, and I hope you like them too. Also, one of the last 6 characters is a one-time character, so that's a hint on what will pop up in these final 3 posts.

I will count one-time characters, but no guest stars nor animals. Here we go.

MALE
3. Homer Simpson

Bio: Homer is the main character of the show and the spouse of Marge Simpson. He has 3 kids named Bart, Lisa, and Maggie. Homer is lazy and ignorant to people around him. However, Homer can be caring and loving to those he cares about. He works as a low level safety inspector at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant in Sector 7G, but he mostly sleeps on duty and eats the donuts that are provided. After his work, he goes to Moe's Tavern with his lifelong friends Barney, Carl, Lenny, and bartender Moe.

Homer is also the only son of Abe and Mona. Even though he hates Patty and Selma, Marge's sisters, he once played as Selma’s husband in order for her to adopt Ling, a Chinese orphan. Somehow, Homer is the legal adoptive father of Ling Bouvier. He has had many great achievements and experiences in his life, such as winning a Grammy, an Academy Award, a Pulitzer Prize, and has even been to space.

Why I Like Homer: He's the main character! Homer is funny at times and will have a heart even when he's angry and sad at times. There are many quotes that he has said over the years, and that is also memorable.

Fun Fact: He looks like his father when he is dehydrated.

One Time Character: Of course not.

FEMALE
3. Maggie Simpson

Bio: Maggie is the youngest child of the Simpson family and the baby sister to Bart and Lisa. She sucks on her pacifier a lot, she trips over her clothing and falls on her face while walking. She rarely ever talks on the show. Maggie is quite a genius for her age. She has spelled out E=MC² with baby blocks, driven Homer's car, escaped from the Springfield daycare center, and treated her pacifier like a cigarette. However, Marge carries Maggie wherever they go rather than letting her walk by herself. She knows how to shoot a gun, as she has shot Mr. Burns once and saved Homer's life by shooting Fat Tony and his mafia.

She interacts with most babies her age, but has an ongoing rivalry with Gerald. They do not like each other. One uncommon fact people don't know about is that she is a good dancer, she has danced 3 or 4 times on The Simpsons.

Why I Like Maggie: No big reason, but she is always in the background when the family talks that normally she has some gag in the background. And she's cute when she laughs or interacts with other people.

Fun Fact: Maggie enjoys playing internet poker.

One Time Character: Nope.

NBA: Spurs at Knicks, 2 Wacky Events and Stat Lines

On January 2, 2018, the San Antonio Spurs were on the road facing the New York Knicks. A couple of crazy events happened at MSG, watch what happened.

Rollin, Rollin, Rollin

Manu!

Here are some stat lines for both teams:
  • LaMarcus Aldridge led the Spurs with 29 points and 6 assists.
  • Every starter for the Knicks scored at least 12 points.
  • Kawhi Leonard, Pau Gasol, and Dejounte Murray grab 8 rebounds each.
  • Kristaps Porzingis goes 5 for 19 on FG. Yikes.
  • The Spurs hit 28 of their 34 free throw attempts, good for a 82% average.
  • The Knicks shot 40% from the field, which was better than the Spurs...
...But at the end, the Spurs took the lead from the Knicks in the third quarter and never lost it, defeating them 100-91.

My Top 10 Male and Female Simpsons Characters: #4

I love the Simpsons, but there are characters I love more than others. So I am counting down my top 10 characters that ever appeared on The Simpsons for both genders. They could be a main person on the show, or someone who lurks in the background.

I will count one-time characters, but no guest stars nor animals. Here we go.

MALE
4. Ralph Wiggum

Bio: Ralph is a student who goes to Springfield Elementary School. He is an oddball, and has been known for his erratic behavior. His lines range from purely nonsensical, or bizarre interpretations of a current event. Ralph is somewhat of an outcast with his classmates, although he seems to be friends with the other kids at school, such as Bart, Lisa, and Milhouse. At school, he asks funny questions is isn't the smartest student in class, though.

Why I Like Ralph Wiggum: He has plenty of one-liners, such as "Hello, Super Nintendo Chalmers", "When I grow up, I want to a president or a catapillar", or "I used the Lisa name, and the Ralph answers!" (he got an "F" on the quiz).

Fun Fact: His favorite swear word is "mitten."

One Time Character: No, he is a recurring character.

Funny Video:

FEMALE
4. Sherri and Terri

Bio: The girls are a pair of twins that go to Springfield Elementary School. Terri is younger than Sherri by two seconds. They are a little bit strange at times. They berate Bart in some episodes. No one knows whether one twin is Terri or Sherri. However, they are actually triplets. Sherri and Terri have long, purple hair and always wear the same clothes.

Why I Like Sherri and Terri: They're twins! They are funny when they talk to other students and have kissed Bart for jokes back in the very early seasons. Besides, Lisa is good friends with both of the girls.

Fun Fact: They do not like eating at Arby's, the fast food restaurant.

One Time Character: No, but they only occasionally talk.
